Personal data processing
The data controller for the personal data of the online store Mangim.com is Mangim OÜ (hereinafter the "merchant"), registration number 17329081, address Kodu Street 12, Tallinn, telephone +37253457439 , and email autor@mangim.com.
What personal data is processed
- name;
- contact information, such as phone number and email address;
- address of the selected parcel locker;
- cost of goods and payment-related data (purchase history);
- customer support data.
Cookie policy
The online store Mangim.com uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file that your web browser automatically saves on the user's device. Cookies are used to collect information on how the customer uses the online store, with the aim of providing a better user experience.
The online store uses:
- Session cookies to ensure e-commerce functionality, such as a shopping cart.
- Perennial cookies To remember customer preferences (e.g., language selection).
- Analytical cookies (third parties, e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel) that collect information on how the website is used. This data is used to improve the website and analyze marketing activities.

For what purpose is personal data processed
Processing of personal data is carried out for the purpose of fulfilling the contract with the customer (order processing and delivery). Processing of personal data is carried out for the fulfillment of legal obligations (e.g., accounting and consumer dispute resolution).
- Personal data (name, phone number, address, e-mail) are used to manage customer orders and deliver goods. The phone number is used only for sending delivery notifications.
- Purchase history data (purchase date, item, quantity, customer details) is used to compile an overview of purchased goods and services and to analyze customer preferences.
- Payment-related data (not bank account numbers) is used to refund payments to the customer through the payment intermediary.
- Personal data, such as email address and customer name, are processed to resolve issues related to the provision of goods and services (customer support).
- The e-shop processes the user's IP address or other network identifiers to provide the e-shop as an information society service and to compile web usage statistics (see “Use of Cookies”).
Transfer of personal data to authorized processors
The merchant shall keep the customer's personal data confidential and shall not disclose it to third parties without the customer's consent, unless the disclosure of data is required or permitted by law.
Purchases on the Mangim.com online store are made as a guest, so no permanent customer account is created. The merchant has the right to process the customer's data to provide services, including transferring the customer's data to persons involved in the merchant's provision of services to the customer.
Authorized processors are:
- Information technology and web hosting provider Zone Media OÜ, to ensure e-shop functionality and data hosting.
- Payment and delivery solutions intermediary Montonio Finance OÜ.
- For payment processing (bank link payments are processed via Montonio).
- To offer payment solutions (Montonio forwards the customer's name, parcel locker address, and phone number to the corresponding transport company, e.g., Omniva or Itella, to deliver the order).
- Statistics and Analytics
- Google Analytics (web usage statistics).
- Facebook Pixel (Marketing Activity Analysis).
- Direct Marketing Smaily OÜ (newsletter sending platform).
Mangim OÜ is the responsible processor of personal data and transfers the personal data necessary for payment processing to the authorized processor Montonio Finance OÜ.
Security and data access
Personal data is stored on Zone Media OÜ's servers, located within the territory of an EU member state or a country that is part of the European Economic Area.
The e-shop implements appropriate physical, organizational, and information technology security measures to protect personal data.information from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, or unauthorized access and disclosure.
The transfer of personal data to authorized processors of the e-shop takes place on the basis of agreements concluded between the e-shop and the authorized processors. Authorized processors are obliged to ensure appropriate security measures when processing personal data.
Data may be transferred to countries assessed by the European Commission to have an adequate level of data protection.
When using analytics and marketing services (Google, Facebook), data (e.g., IP address, cookie information) may be transferred outside the European Economic Area, primarily to the United States. Such transfers are carried out in accordance with legal safeguards, such as the data protection framework established by the European Commission (e.g., the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, Marcos de Privacidad de Datos) or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), ensuring an adequate level of protection for the data.
Accessing and correcting personal data
Since the e-shop does not have a permanent customer account, you need to contact the merchant via email at [email protected] to view and correct your personal data. autor@mangim.com.
Storage
- Personal data related to an order is stored as needed (e.g., for resolving consumer disputes) or according to legal obligations.
- In case of disputes related to payments and consumer disputes, personal data shall be retained until the claim is fulfilled or the statute of limitations expires (three years).
- Personal data required for accounting (including order data) is retained for seven years in accordance with the Accounting Act.
Deletion
To delete personal data (except for data that is legally required to be retained, e.g., accounting records), please contact the merchant by email at autor@mangim.com.
The request to delete data will be answered within one month at the latest, and the data deletion period will be specified if necessary.
Transfer (Data Portability)
To request the electronic transfer of personal data (data portability), please contact the merchant by email at autor@mangim.com.
Applications will be responded to no later than one month, during which customer support will identify the identity (if necessary) and inform about the personal data applicable to the transfer.
Direct market notifications
The email address is used to send direct marketing communications (e.g., information about new books) when the customer has given their consent for this (e.g., by checking a consent box during a purchase or by subscribing to a newsletter via a separate form, such as by requesting a free chapter).
If the customer does not wish to receive direct marketing notifications, they must select the relevant link in the email footer (e.g., “Unsubscribe”) or contact customer support via email. autor@mangim.com.
Privacy Policy Change
The merchant has the right to unilaterally amend the privacy policy. The current privacy policy is always available on the Mangim.com website. In case of significant changes affecting the customer's rights, the merchant will notify customers via email if the customer has provided their email address to the merchant (for example, when placing an order or subscribing to a newsletter).
Dispute resolution
